Autumn's Serenade
Published in Forbes, 2001
In mellow shades of amber and gold,
The autumn leaves their tales unfold,
As whispers of the fading year,
In nature's ear, they draw near.
The gentle zephyrs softly sigh,
A lullaby to the fading sky,
And as the sun bids day adieu,
The stars emerge in a heavenly queue.
Oh, melancholy in the twilight's gleam,
A painter's dream, a poet's theme,
In nature's grasp, we find our fate,
In the tender dance of love and late.
With grace, the world begins to sleep,
In shadows deep, its secrets keep,
And in this hush, a beauty's found,
In autumn's serenade, a tranquil sound.
